anyone have any good/funny concert stories? i remember my friend came down to a show with me in new haven. he was sitting at the bar and chad started calling him emo and asking him if he was in an emo band. i didn't know he was talking to my friend but after the show he was like, "HAHAHAHA, did you hear chad calling me emo?"

When I was in cologne, I was in the first row (as always) and between two songs, Chad looked at me an said "Haven't you been in amsterdam last year?" It was so funny that he remembered me from one year ago. After that show, I came out and Matt called me JessesGirl...I was so shocked that he knew it was my nickname lol Later I've been drinking at the bar next to the club, Jess, Matt and some others were there. Jess spent me some whisky and absinth, which was the first time for me. I already felt a little bit bad when I've had two shots of absinth and the whisky. I saw Jess the next morning in Amsterdam and asked him, how many shots of absinth he's finally had and he said "Like 7 or 8 I guess"... Great times

Well, I finally managed to see CKY for the first time back in Oct of 2005 at Portsmouth Pyramid Centre. Not only was the show above every one one of my expectations, I also got to meet all of the guys too. It was a time I'll never forget. I know it sounds corny, but it's true.
A funny thing though - when me and my Buddy were in the que out front. Matt walked up from the car park, instantly recognising him me and my mate walked over and said Hi and had a little chat. We then pointed him in the direction of the hot food van as he said he was hungry. So - we went back into the que and the two people in front of us who we'd previously been talking too said the following: "Oh, who was that then? A friend of yours or something?" Me and my mate just kinda stared at them in disbilief for a few seconds, then we laughed then we pointed out that it was infact the bassist of the band they were lining up to see. They looked kinda sheepish for a bit, then they went over to say Hi, along with about 20 other people who realised who it was.
My mate had T shirts made by his missus for the guys too. they were black with their names on (one said Dice, one said CiG, one said Deron and one said Jess). He gave them to them after the show. I wonder if they actually kept them???
Anyway, that's my story.

Last summer in cologne..
I drove 3 hours together with my friend to see CKY (she likes the music for years now..)..we stood in front of the club directly at the tourbus and Matt walked around and I told my friend..hey look, there is Matt or? (because I couldn't believe he is in the middle of the fans..) And my friend answer:I don't know how he looks.. and the people around look at her and laughed about this sentence so much and I was like: WTF..you drove 3 hours and you don't know who Matt is..Shame on you^^
It was so funny in this situation..really =)

ok on April 25th, CKY came to Adelaide, Australia, the concert was 18+ so i couldnt get in, so i waited at the airport for like 3 hours just to meet them, Jess spotted my CKY shirt came over with the rest of CKY and asked if i wanted any photos or autographs, they signed my guitar, my t shirt and left a message on some cardboard, then Chad asked me if i want to come to soundcheck, so i was like HELL YES!!, Chad asked me what song i want them to play, then later at soundcheck they played Flesh Into Gear, near the end Chad gave me a thumbs up, then after soundcheck Jess and their manager were trying to win a PSP on the skilltesters.
BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

well on the march 26, 2006 show in scranton PA my friend and i went down for the show, but were running late. When we got to scranton, across from the venue we saw a pizza place, and we were starving. We went in ordered food and sat at a booth until it was done. While we were sitting there waiting, my friend glances over and goes, OH MY GOD ASHLEIGH, LOOK IT"S MATT! [he was sitting there all alone] i look over and see matt sitting in the booth across from us. When we got up to get our food, i turned around and said hello to matt. He replied with a hi how are you? tara [my friend] and i sat back down. and matt looks over at us and says, um? i'm all by myself, would you girls like to have dinner with me? tara and i looked at eachother smiled, looked at matt and said ABSOLUTELY! ... so basically we had dinner with matt before the show.. and he holds a pretty interesting conversation i must say!! haha it was the most amazing dinner i've ever had!!

Yesterday I saw The 69 eyes but I will be probably never a big fan of them. I went to the show cause I was interested and it was a nice evening (like usual if I went to any show) but I think I'll never see a second show oft them. They wasn't so bad but there was so less power in the crowd.. and I'd never saw so many guys in the crowd who playing air guitar on a show. It was really funny...XD
In the course of the concert Jussi threw a few drumsticks in the crowd but one stick came immediately back to him on the stage because some guy threw it back to him. It was funny (no one in the band was hit) because Jussi looked so surprised...XD

Yes you're right.. It give Idiots everywhere. Thats the point, maybe he thoughts it would be funny- who know? So another person was glad about catching the drum stick:) It's stupid to do things like that as well as you don't like a band. They should be show more respect for them (not only in the case of the 69 eyes)..
Yeah, they where headlining but I think there were a lot of people who came only for the support band "Wednesday 13" The show wasn't sold out and after the support band many people left the place or went to the bar..

What about the idea, to open a "Concert stories"-thread in the Music section? This one is supposed to be for CKY and Matt
